Ledebouria stenophylla 'Gary Hammer'

A charming version of the common squill, this South African form has incredible foliage. Each bulbs produce 1' long, deciduous, strap-like, grey-green leaves that are heavily spotted with random liver-colored patterns. They have a clump forming habit which can reach a size to only 6" tall x 20" wide. The flowers are a pale blue and proliferate cheerfully. Sun and dry summers, though summer moisture is tolerated. Don't be fooled, hardier than they look! They have been proven to be reliable even through our wet, cold winters. Frost hardy to a bit below 10 °F.
